Eastern Michigan University - Department of Management

Welcome to the web site for the Management Department at Eastern Michigan University. We are one of four departments in the College of Business. We offer undergraduate majors and minors in Management, General Business, and Entrepreneurship. Students can also concentrate in Human Resources at the undergraduate level and we have Graduate Certificates in HR and in OD and a Master of Science in HR/OD. Our faculty members continuously receive top student ratings and are current in their field and more than 95 percent of the faculty in the Management Department have Ph.D.s while several have published textbooks and journal articles. Many of the faculty also have extensive experience in consulting and have received various teaching, research, and service excellence awards. Paid cooperative education positions are available in both management and in human resources. There are also several Department of Management awards and scholarships that are available. We have several active student groups such as the Entrepreneurship Club and the national award winning student chapter of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management). In fact, the SHRM chapter was one of the top ten student chapters in the country for 2000-2001. You can check out their website at www.emushrm.org.
